Rustproofing Line
A one coat, amber coloured, gel-like coating for the protection of metal against corrosion from salts and chemicals. The evaporation of the solvent, leaves a wax-like film which has self-healing properties enabling film to creep and protect freshly exposed areas. USES To be used on frames and undercoat of automobiles, trucks, trailers, buses, off-road vehicles, tractors, farm equipment and recreational vehicles. PHYSICAL PROPERTIES COLOUR: BLACK SOLIDS BY VOLUME: 30 % approx. WEIGHT PER GALLON: 8 lbs. (approx.) COVERAGE: 200 - 300 sq. ft. per gal. (approx.) DRYING TIME: 2 - 6 hours. TOUCH DRY: 2 hours FIRM DRY: 24 hours CORROSION RESISTANCE: Salt spray 1500 hrs.+ at 2.0 mil. thickness APPLICATION TEMPERATURE: ***** FLAMMABILITY: Flash point 40° C (PMCC) LIMITATIONS Will not adhere to dirty surfaces or silicones. Do not use as a primer. PREPARATION Prepare metal surface. Remove all dirt, moisture, oil and grease. APPLICATION Stir well. Apply by brush or spray. Apply a coat approx. 5 - 8 mils in thickness. Allow to dry 2 - 6 hours before exposing to wet road conditions. CLEAN-UP Use P.B.I. Clean Up. SHELF LIFE All rust proofing materials have shelf life as follows: Water-based products:3 months when never frozen AVAILABILITY 1 LTR 3.78 LTR. 20 LTR 60 LTR 205 LTR CAUTION Flammable material. Use with adequate ventilation. Keep away from sparks and open flame. Contains petroleum type solvent. If accidentally swallowed, do not induce vomiting. Call physician immediately. |
