PBI Primer

For priming and sealing absorbent surfaces to improve bonding of asphalt coatings and finishes. Used for priming thermal insulation, concrete, masonry, gypsum, asbestos, asphalt roofing felts and similar surfaces.

COLOUR: BLACK

SOLIDS BY VOLUME: 37 % approx.

WEIGHT PER GALLON: 9 lbs. (approx.)

COVERAGE: 100 to 400 sq. ft. per gal. depending on porosity of surface.

DRYING TIME: ( @ 50% R.H. 20 degrees C. Dry substrate)

TOUCH DRY: 1 hour (approx)

FIRM DRY: 8 to 12 hours (approx)

SERVICE TEMPERATURE: Minus 30 degrees C. to 85 degrees C.

APPLICATION TEMPERATURE: May be applied at low temperature.

FLAMMABILITY: Wet...Flammable Dry...Burns

LIMITATIONS

Avoid use where solvent odours may taint food or other susceptible products. Do not apply over tar coatings.

PREPARATION

Surfaces must be dry and free from dust, dirt, grease and other foreign matter.

APPLICATION

Apply by brush, roller or spray. Protect new work from open flame or adjacent welding activity. Stir well before using.

CLEAN-UP

Use P.B.I. CLEAN-UP.

Up to 12 months in sealed container.

CAUTION

Contains flammable solvents. Take suitable fire precautions. Do not allow smoking or welding in working area. Keep away from heat and open flame. Use in well ventilated areas. Keep containers covered when not in use. Avoid prolonged breathing of the vapour and repeated contact with the skin. Harmful if swallowed.
