A premium fast-dry red or grey, rust-inhibitive phenolic modified alkyd metal primer. This primer has been formulated with non-toxic inhibitor pigments, free of lead and sulfur compounds, which makes it suitable for a mild acid environment. USES For industrial and commercial application on steel to protect against atmospheric corrosion. Interior and exterior use. Premium high-build shopcoat primer. Fast-drying maintenance primer. Multiple application: Fencing, handrails, bracing, metal doors. PHYSICAL PROPERTIES VISCOSITY: 68-74 KU DENSITY: 1.18 KG/L (+/-0.1) GLOSS: Flat VOLUME SOLIDS (+/- 3%): 33% SOLIDS BY WEIGHT (+/- 3%): 51% MATERIALS VOC G/L: 590 FLASH POINT: 18C THEORETICAL COVERAGE: 600 Sq. Ft/Gal per 1 mil dry film FILM THICKNESS: WET - 3.5 mils DRY - 1-1.5 mils per coat DRYING TIME: To touch: 10 min. To hard: 1-2 hours @ 25C LIMITATIONS Not for immersion services. Not for wood, or galvanized metal. Apply above due point. PREPARATION Surface must be clean and dry. Free from oil, grease, was, dirt and residue from alkaline or acidic cleaners. Removal of loose rust, loose millscale, and loose paint by hand tool cleaning, power tool or commercial blast cleaning. APPLICATION Conventional or Airless Spray system or dip. CLEAN-UP Use P.B.I. Xylene. SHELF LIFE Up to 18 months in sealed container. AVAILABILITY 18.9 LTR. 200 LTR CAUTION See MSDS and product label. |
